Depending on how often your child will be surfing, their weight and age, all these points play an important part in choosing the right board for you little loved ones, Oh and also mum and dads budget is a controlling factor! I've made more surfboards for kids this year than any other, and the boards have ranged from 5'2" to 8'0" there are no rules on the right board, only if it's their first board I generally advise to go as big as can be comfortably carried down to the waters edge.

Apart from our custom surfboards we also stock more economical priced boards such as Bic, Circle One, NSP along with a range of soft surfboards. All of these brands have thier pros and cons , so please donn't hesitate to pick up the phone.

There are more children surfing now than ever before, their requirements can be very different due to their age weight and experience. Being the farther of three surf hungry twelve year olds, I can confirm that putting them on the correct board will make the difference between them loving it or not, and ultimately learning to surf or giving up. On the right surfboard most children will stand up and stay stood up very quickly, the thrill and confidence it gives them can only be described as fantastic.
